Dessert cocktails are a revelation and one that you definitely should try is a Snickers Martini, with rich chocolate and caramel blended together with cream and chocolate liquor.

You won’t believe how smooth and creamy this martini is. I want to drink one every night as my dessert, it’s so good. I mean, it’s basically a Snickers candy bar in liquid form.
If you’re a fan of dessert martinis, like espresso martinis and Godiva chocolate martinis, then give this one a try. It’s a very satisfyingly sweet and tasty cocktail.
Ingredients You’ll Need
The best thing about martinis is that they use very few ingredients. This one has a few more than normal, but if you’re into making dessert cocktails, you probably have many of them on hand already.
- Caramel syrup – You can use any caramel syrup brand you like. I use Torani, but also like Morani. You can also use a sugar-free syrup. You can substitute with a thick caramel, but it won’t mix as well.
- Chocolate liqueur – I use Bol’s Creme de Cocao but you can also use Godiva, Mozart, Bailey’s chocolate liqueur, whatever brand you like.
- Irish Cream – I use Bailey’s but you can use any brand. You can also substitute this with single cream or half and half.
- Roasted peanuts – finely chopped. You’ll use these to rim the glass, so you want them to be chopped fairly small.
- Snickers chocolate bar – This is for garnish. It really brings it all together.
- Ice cubes – to shake
Equipment You’ll Need
If you’ve stocked your home bar well, then you’ll have everything you need to make this cocktail. It’s an easy one!
How to Make a Snicker’s Martini
I always start by rimming the glasses with the toasted nuts. If you get this ready at the beginning, you can enjoy the drink while it’s freshly shaken, rather than dealing with it while the cocktail sits in the shaker getting watery.
Spread the chopped peanuts on a plate. Dip your finger in the caramel syrup and run it around the rims of both martini glasses. Roll the rims in the peanuts.
Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Pour in the caramel syrup, chocolate liqueur, and Irish cream. Shake vigorously. Pour equally into the two martini glasses.
Cut the Snickers bar into small squares. Thread the pieces onto cocktail skewers. Place the Snickers skewers across the top of the glass. Serve.
Does it Matter What Brand of Liquor I Use?
There are two types of liquor in this drink. The chocolate liqueur and the Irish Cream. I used Bol’s Creme de Cocao and Bailey’s Salted Caramel Irish Cream. I’ve also made this drink with Godiva chocolate liqueur and regular Bailey’s Irish Cream. Both versions were very good.
It really doesn’t matter which brand you use. Just go with whatever you have on hand, or buy your favorite brand. That goes for the caramel syrup too.

Ways to Change it Up
If you want to try something a little different, you can experiment with different brands of liqueur or change the ratios. You can top the martini with whipped cream and chopped snickers.
You can add chocolate syrup to the cocktail, for more richness. You can also add toasted marshmallow vodka to mimic the peanuts in the Snicker’s bar.
