Mini Chicago dogs

The Chicago dog has its roots in the Great Depression, offering an affordable and hearty meal for the working class. Originating at street stands, this hot dog was a way to pack maximum flavor and nutrients into a single meal. For just 5 cents, you could enjoy a satisfying treat that has now become a culinary icon in Chicago and beyond.

Helpful Tips

  • Stick to tradition: For an authentic Chicago dog experience, make sure to include all the classic toppings and apply them in the proper order. Ketchup is a no-go for purists!
  • Chop the toppings small: There isn’t much room on these cute little sliders so make sure to chop the toppings small so that they all fit.
  • Prep toppings ahead of time: Chop and prepare all your toppings in advance to make assembly quick and stress-free, especially when serving a crowd.
