Start your Valentine’s Day with a breakfast that’s as beautiful as it is delicious: a Valentine’s Day toast board! This delightful spread is perfect for sharing, whether it’s with your partner, kids, or even a group of friends. Featuring heart-shaped toast, fresh fruit, and a variety of sweet and savory toppings, it’s easy to customize and full of charm.
Toast boards are all about variety, and the best part is that you can tailor yours to include everyone’s favorites. Plus, it’s a fun and interactive way to enjoy breakfast together, letting each person craft their perfect bite. Let’s get into how you can put this together effortlessly.

Tools
- Heart-shaped cookie cutters
- Toaster or stovetop griddle
- Serving board or large platter
- Heart-shaped bowls

Helpful Tips
- Add a splash of color: Include plenty of red fruits, like strawberries, raspberries or pomegranate arils for added vibrancy.
- Kid-friendly touches: If you’re making this board with kids in mind, you might want to add some sprinkles or mini marshmallows to make it even more fun for kids.
- Upgrade the cream cheese: I like to serve whipped cream cheese because it’s very easy to spread on the toast. You can upgrade it with a bit of honey or a splash of vanilla extract.
- Butter at room temperature: It’s best to cut the heart-shaped butter when it’s still firm, then let it sit out for a few hours to get soft and spreadable.
- Choose your bread: I like to serve brioche bread. It’s already a bit sweet and it still tastes really good even when it’s not hot.
