For this delicious blended treat, we use blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. These three fruits blend up to make a sweet and delicious cocktail, when mixed with rum and ice.

It’s possible to use any berries you wish in this drink. If you’re buying a mix of frozen berries at the store, that’s fine.

Ingredients

Here is the list of ingredients you’ll need for this blended berry cocktail:

  • Mix of berries – Strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry
  • White rum – This cocktail uses white (or silver) rum, which is typically what you’ll use in a rum cocktail.
  • Lime juice
  • Agave syrup (or honey) – This is an excellent drink sweetener. It is sweeter than sugar with a more neutral flavor than honey and slightly thinner in consistency.
  • Ice

I almost always buy fresh berries and I use whatever mix of berries I have on hand. It just takes about 2 hours in the freezer to get them frozen enough for this drink, so plan ahead.

Here are a few white or silver rums that we recommend for cocktails.

How to Make a Frozen Mixed Berry Cocktail

You’ll need a blender to mix up this frozen cocktail.

I recommend the Ninja countertop blender. It’s a 1000-watt blender that can destroy ice with its 6 blades. It’s a professional grade blender for just around $80. Such a good investment, especially if you make a lot of frozen cocktails and smoothies.

Start by adding the berries, rum, lime juice and agave syrup to the blender and blending it up well. Then add the ice and continue to blend, until the ice is incorporated.

Garnish with fresh berries or a sprig of mint.

These cocktails are the perfect adult treat for summer. Don’t sip too fast or you’ll get brain freeze!
