Valentine's Day Toast Board
This Valentine’s Day Toast Board is a fun, creative way to show love through breakfast. Whether you're surprising your partner or enjoying it as a treat for yourself, it’s the kind of meal that sets the tone for the whole day ahead.
Ingredients
- 8 slices of your favorite bread sourdough, whole wheat, or brioche work well
- 5-6 slices salted butter or more depending on your preference
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 4 ounces whipped cream cheese sprinkles encouraged
- Handful of raspberries
- Handful of strawberries hulled and halved
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon & sugar optional, for dusting
Instructions
- Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut hearts out of each slice of bread. Save the scraps for croutons or breadcrumbs!
- Lightly butter both sides of the heart-shaped pieces and toast them on a griddle or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Place whipped cream cheese, jams, honey, and spreads into small bowls for easy serving.
- Wash and slice the strawberries, leaving some whole for decoration. Rinse the raspberries as well.
- Arrange the toasted hearts on your serving board, leaving space for the toppings.
- Place bowls of spreads and fresh fruit around the toast. Add decorative touches like a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a few edible flowers to enhance the Valentine’s theme.
