Chambord is a black raspberry-flavored liqueur made in France. It works really well in cocktails, especially a spritz – due to its lovely flavor and color.
If you haven’t tried it already, grab a bottle of Chambord and get to mixing! You’ll find it to be fruit and sweet, but with a very nice balance – not too syrupy or overdone.

Ingredients in El Diablo
As we said above, this cocktail is a mix between a margarita and a Moscow mule. It combines some of my favorite cocktail ingredients. Take note, you can also blend this drink with mezcal instead of tequila for a smokier flavor. Yum.
- Tequila
- Chambord
- Lime juice
- Ginger beer
For the tequila, I recommend using a 100% agave tequila. It doesn’t have to be the top of the line, expensive bottle, which we reserve for sipping. But it should have a nice clean flavor. Here are 3 options we like, ranging from $15 to $35 a bottle.

How to Make This El Diablo Cocktail
Fill a tall glass to the top with ice.
Mix the Chambord, tequila, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice until cold. Pour this mixture into the prepared glass. Top up with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.
Where to Purchase Chambord

You can get Chambord at any specialty liquor store. It’s also often available at the grocery (in states where liquor is sold there).
My preferred way of buying liquor is through Saucey. They deliver to many major cities in the U.S. and you can save on shipping with larger orders and get $5 off your first order using our affiliate links below.
★ You can get this and many other liquors delivered to your door from Saucey $5 OFF your first order + free delivery with code SAS) or Drizly ($5 OFF your first order of $20+ through this link). Only valid in select states. ☺
