What You’ll Need
- 8 slices bacon – cut in half horizontally
- 16 small sausages – You can use any variety of sausage you like. Cocktail sausages are the easiest to find. You can even use cheese-filled sausages.
How to Make Bacon Wrapped Sausages
Wrap half a slice of bacon firmly around each sausage. There’s no need to secure it with a toothpick. As long as yo put the cut side down when cooking, it will adhere together.

In the oven:
To cook them in the oven, place them with the end of the bacon facing down on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or a silicon mat. Cook at 380° F for 12 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy. You can turn them over halfway through cooking if you want to, but I find that’s an unnecessary step.
In the air fryer:
Place the sausage, with the end of the bacon facing down, in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380° F for 8 minutes or until the bacon is crisp, turning them over halfway through cooking to ensure the bacon gets evenly cooked.

Additional Notes
- You can baste the sausages with honey near the end of cooking for a sweet version, or with hot sauce for a spicy version.
- Use any sausages you like. My favorite brand is Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Cocktail Sausages. These come in a cheese-filled version too.
- For the bacon, smoked or unsmoked are both fine to use. Center cut bacon will be the easiest to wrap around the sausage and will stay put better when cooking.

Why Use an Air Fryer
An air fryer is an incredibly easy way to cook just about anything. You place the food in a fryer-style basket and hot air rapidly circulates all around the food, making the food crisp – much like deep-frying, but without the oil. You can cook anything you’d make in the oven.
