Helpful Tips

  1. Use Quality Meat: For the best flavor and juiciness, opt for ground beef with a good fat content (around 80/20). This will ensure your mini burgers are flavorful and not dry. You can also experiment with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  2. Don’t Overcook: Since these are mini bites, they cook quickly! Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking. Aim for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for beef to ensure they’re safe to eat while still being juicy.
  3. Get Creative with Toppings: While classic toppings like ketchup and pickles are always a hit, don’t hesitate to get creative! Try adding sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, avocado, or even a slice of jalapeño for a spicy kick. You can also offer a variety of sauces for dipping, such as barbecue sauce or ranch dressing.

Mini Cheeseburger Bites are the perfect addition to your Super Bowl spread. They’re easy to make, customizable, and packed with flavor, ensuring your guests will be satisfied throughout the game. So gather your ingredients, fire up the grill or skillet, and get ready to enjoy these delicious bites while cheering for your favorite team.

Servings 12 mini burgers

Ingredients

  • 12 waffle fries
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 slices cheddar cheese quartered
  • 3 strips bacon
  • 3 leaves iceberg lettuce
  • 12 pickles round sliced
  • 6 cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 12 cocktail skewers

Instructions

  • Cook the waffle fries according to the package instructions. While they’re cooking, proceed with the burger patties.
  • Mix the ground beef with the salt and pepper. Form into small burger patties. Make them flat or they’ll cook up into balls.
  • Heat a pan over medium high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and grill until cooked through, about 4 minutes per side. Once you’ve flipped them, add the cheese so it can melt.
  • Remove the patties from the pan and arrange them on your serving platter.
  • Top with a piece of bacon, some lettuce, and a pickle.
  • Mix the ketchup and mustard together in a bowl, but don’t overmix. It’s nice to still see the two sauces separately in the bowl. Pour some of the sauce over the top of the burger.
  • Top with a tomato half. Serve with toothpicks to keep it all together.
