- Shredded lettuce – I use iceberg or romaine lettuce for maximum crunch.
- Pickle Slices – I used 2 round pickle slices per slider.
- American Cheese – You can use other types of cheese like cheddar, Swiss, or even pepper jack if you prefer a different cheese flavor.
For the Sauce:
- Mayonnaise – This is the base of the sauce.
- Sweet Pickle Relish – If you don’t like sweet pickles, you can use dill relish.
- Yellow Mustard – If you like a spicier sauce, you can use Dijon or spicy brown mustard.
- Ketchup – This is what gives the sauce its signature pink hue.
- Finely Minced Onion – The smaller they are minced the better.
- White Vinegar – You can use sushi vinegar in place of the vinegar and sugar for a less sweet option.

- When forming the beef patties, aim for a slightly larger size than your slider buns, but keep them very thin, especially if you’re making a double slider. They will shrink a bit during cooking, so starting with a larger patty ensures they fit the buns perfectly.
- You can prepare the special sauce in advance and chill it in the refrigerator. The sauce’s flavors meld together and taste even better when they’ve had some time to combine.
How to Make Big Mac Sliders
Step 1: Make the burgers

Add the ground beef, onion, and salt to a mixing bowl. Stir or use your hands to combine.
Form the beef into 16 thin patties (for double sliders), or 8 patties (for single sliders)big.

Heat the grill or frying pan to medium high heat. Add the burger patties and cook for 5 minutes on one side. Flip. Add a cheese slice to each patty. Continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Step 2: Mix the sauce

While the patties are cooking, you can mix together the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Adjust the ingredients according to your taste.
Step 3: Add sesame seeds to buns (optional)

If you’re not able to find sesame seed slider buns, you can attach your own sesame seeds. Rub some milk or egg wash on the top of the buns and sprinkle on the sesame seeds.
Of course, this isn’t a required step, but if you want to stay true to form, a Big Mac has sesame seeds on the bun! I had a difficult time finding any though.
Step 4: Prepare & dress the buns

Heat the buns in the microwave for 15 seconds or the oven for 4 minutes.
Open the buns, dress with the sauce on the bottom bun, then add shredded lettuce, and pickles and top with 2 burger patties each, unless you’re making singles.
As you can see, the only thing missing is the middle slice of bread. So again, if you want to stay true to form, add an extra slice of bun in the center of each. If you do this, you’ll also want to dress each layer.
