If you’re a fan of jalapeño poppers, you’ll love this fun twist—literally. These Jalapeño Popper Puff Pastry Twists take the creamy, cheesy, spicy flavors of the classic appetizer and wrap them in buttery, flaky puff pastry. They bake up golden and crisp with a gooey center that makes them impossible to resist.

This recipe is perfect for parties, game day, or anytime you want an easy appetizer that looks impressive but doesn’t take much effort. The puff pastry does all the heavy lifting, while the jalapeño, cream cheese, and cheddar filling bring that familiar popper flavor in a handheld, shareable form.
Helpful Tips
- Keep the pastry cold. Puff pastry is easier to work with and bakes flakier when it’s chilled, so don’t let it sit out too long before assembling.
- Adjust the spice. Use fresh jalapeños for more heat or canned mild green chiles if you want a gentler flavor.
- Serve warm. These twists are best right out of the oven when the cheese is melty and the pastry is crisp.
