Ingredients
- 12 ounce dark green melting wafer or color of your choice
- 12 pretzel sticks
- 6 Oreos
- 12 Hershey kisses unwrapped
- 2 Fruit rolls
- 24 candy eyeball sprinkles
Instructions
For the witch hats:
- Separate the Oreo cookies and scrap off the white frosting. Unwrap the Hershey kisses.
- Heat a skillet over low heat and slightly melt the flat part of the Hershey kiss, then set it on the Oreo cookie. This acts as glue to keep the Hershey kiss attached. Set aside.
For the brooms:
- Open the fruit rolls and cut them into 2 inch strips. Then use a knife or kitchen scissors to cut fringe down the length of the strip.
- Place a pretzel stick at the end and roll until your broom has enough bristles. Repeat with the remaining pretzel sticks. Set aside.
For the witch cookies:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon mat.
- Melt the chocolate, according to the package. Place them in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave at half power or defrost for 30 seconds, then stir it. Continue cooking in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until it’s mostly melted. Then remove it from the microwave and stir the chocolate until it’s completely smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate into puddles on the baking sheet and, working quickly, spread it out with the back of a spoon. Quickly top each with a hat, broom, and candy eyeball sprinkles. Set the decorations on in varying patterns so they don’t all look the same.
- Allow the chocolate to cool and firm up for at least 1 hour. You can put them in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
Notes
- How much melting chocolate you use will depend on how big of puddles you make.
