Texas Trash Pinwheels hit all the right notes with buttery puff pastry filled with a creamy, zesty mix of cream cheese, cheddar, green chilies, and refried beans.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, cheddar cheese, and green chilies in a bow.
Unroll the pastry on a flat, clean work surface. Spread the sauce evenly onto the pastry, leaving about 1” of space along one long side.
Starting from the long side that has sauce all the way to the edge, roll the pastry tightly. When you come to the end without sauce, gently press to seal the roll.
Slice the roll into 1” slices.
Place the pieces on the parchment paper lined sheet. Sprinkle with a little more cheddar cheese if desired.
Bake for 20 -25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving.
