These delicious, easy-to-prepare Shredded BBQ Chicken Sliders, made with your favorite barbecue sauce, pulled chicken, and melted cheese, are the perfect quick meal or game day appetizer.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 Hawaiian slider buns sliced in half
  • 1/2 pound chicken breast
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F.
  • Place bottom of slider buns into a 9x13” baking dish.
  • Place the chicken stock and chicken breast in a pot over medium heat. Simmer until chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  • Transfer chicken to a cutting board. Once cooled, shred the chicken.
  • In a bowl, combine shredded chicken and bbq sauce. Stir to incorporate. Place mounds of chicken on each bun. Top with shredded cheese. Lay on the tops of the buns.
  • Brush the tops of the buns with the melted butter and drizzle the rest over the top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove foil from the pan and bake for another 10 minutes, until tops are golden. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use pre-cooked and shredded chicken.
  • Substitute any type of cheese you like.
  • Top with coleslaw, if desired.
