A glass of pink hot chocolate

Pink Hot Chocolate

Laura
This Pink Hot Chocolate is delightfully creamy and has the perfect white chocolate flavor with a hint of pink coloring and a decorative swirl of whipped cream and Valentine's Day sprinkles for garnish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup Ghirardelli white chocolate chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sprinkle of salt
  • 1 drop red food coloring
  • Whipped cream
  • Pink sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

dd

  • Warm up the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, just until it steams (do not boil).
  • Pour in the white chocolate and stir until melted and smooth, about 3 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, salt and food coloring.
  • Pour the pink hot chocolate into a glass. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Notes

You can use 2% milk, but it won’t be as creamy. For even creamier results, use half and half.
Buy quality white chocolate. It makes a world of difference. I recommend Ghirardelli.
You can use red or pink food coloring. It’s easier to find red. Just use a few drops.
