Ingredients
  

  • 2 pre-made pizza dough
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Assorted toppings pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, etc.
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Italian seasoning optional
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Divide the dough in half, or quarters, depending on how big of a pizza you want to make. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into heart shapes.
  • Place the dough onto your preferred cooking sheet (pizza stone or tray, baking sheet, etc). You might have to reshape it a bit back into a heart.
  • Spread some pizza sauce onto each heart-shaped dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
  • Add your favorite toppings to each mini pizza. Get creative! You can mix and match different toppings for a variety of flavors.
  • Lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil to help them turn golden and crispy while baking. If desired, sprinkle a little Italian seasoning on top for extra flavor.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
  • Once baked, remove the mini pizzas from the oven. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves.
