Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
Divide the dough in half, or quarters, depending on how big of a pizza you want to make. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into heart shapes.
Place the dough onto your preferred cooking sheet (pizza stone or tray, baking sheet, etc). You might have to reshape it a bit back into a heart.
Spread some pizza sauce onto each heart-shaped dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
Add your favorite toppings to each mini pizza. Get creative! You can mix and match different toppings for a variety of flavors.
Lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil to help them turn golden and crispy while baking. If desired, sprinkle a little Italian seasoning on top for extra flavor.
Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
Once baked, remove the mini pizzas from the oven. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves.
