Servings 20 Wontons

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 strips bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 3 jalapeno peppers seeded and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese, bacon, cheddar, and jalapeno peppers. Arrange wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Scoop about one teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wrapper.
  • Moisten your finger in a bowl of water and wet the edges of a wonton wrapper. Fold the wonton into a triangle. Continue on until all are complete.
  • For the oven, place all of the wontons, spaced out, on the baking sheet.
  • Brush each wonton lightly with cooking oil.
  • Bake for 8 minutes, then flip them over and bake for another 5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  • Serve with sweet chili dipping sauce.

For the deep fryer:

  • Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375° F (190° C). When hot, fry the wontons a few at a time until golden brown, about 2 minutes.

For the air fryer:

  • Space the wontons out in the air fryer basket so they aren’t touching. Cook on 375° F for 8 minutes, until golden and crispy.
