The creamy brie pairs beautifully with the fresh, juicy pears, while a drizzle of honey adds a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 8 ounces brie cheese rind removed and sliced
  • 2 ripe pears thinly sliced (Bartlett or Anjou work well)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • ¼ cup walnuts chopped finely
  • Fresh rosemary leaves or thyme
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the sliced baguette rounds on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil on one side.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. On each toasted slice, layer a slice of brie cheese followed by a few slices of pear.
  • Drizzle a small amount of honey over each crostini, allowing it to soak into the cheese and fruit.
  • Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors. If desired, add fresh thyme leaves or a small piece of arugula on top for an extra touch of freshness and color.
  • Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and enjoy immediately while the bread is still warm and the cheese is slightly melted.
