Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Appetizer

These bacon wrapped shrimp are crisped in the oven and tossed in a savory sweet sauce. They are a great appetizer to serve at parties or as a finger food side dish for any occasion. Everyone loves bacon, after all.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices bacon cut in half horizontally
  • 16 large shrimp tail on and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the broiler in your oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it lightly with cooking oil.
  • Wrap half a slice of bacon around each shrimp and secure it with a toothpick. 
  • In a small bowl, stir together the honey, soy sauce, and garlic salt. Divide the sauce and reserve half for later. Add the shrimp to the bowl with the remaining sauce and toss to coat.
  • Place the shrimp, spaced apart, on the baking sheet. Broil for 8-10 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and shrimp are cooked through.
  • Toss the cooked shrimp in the remaining sauce. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.
