4ouncespear juice
2ouncesfresh lemon juice

Instructions
Pour the rum into a sealable jar. Add the pear slices and the spices. Shake for 30 seconds. Let infuse at room temperature for 24 hours. Strain through cheesecloth. Squeezing to extract excess liquid.
To make the cocktails, pour the rum into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add the pear juice and lemon juice. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds or until chilled.
Pour into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of pear and a sprig of thyme
Notes
As an alternative, you can use spiced rum. Be aware that will make the cocktail dark in color.The type of spices you use is entirely up to you. For this cocktail, I used a cinnamon stick, 3-4 cardamom pods, 6 all-spice berries, and nutmeg.
