Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz Champagne or sparkling wine
  • lemon twist for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pour the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until well chilled.
  • Strain into a flute glass and top with Champagne and a lemon twist.

Notes

You can use any type of sparkling wine in place of Champagne.
For a twist on this drink, try Cognac instead of gin.
