Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2-3 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
  • Add the everything bagel seasoning (start out with 2 tablespoons and add more as necessary), chives, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Mix all the ingredients together until the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, sprinkle a little extra everything bagel seasoning and chopped chives on top for garnish, if desired.
  • Serve the everything bagel dip with your favorite crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a smoother consistency, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened at room temperature before mixing. This makes blending easier and creates a creamier texture for the dip.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time. Consider preparing it a day before serving to allow the flavors to meld even more for a richer taste.
  • If you can't find pre-made everything bagel seasoning, you can easily create your own blend by using equal parts of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, and a pinch of salt.
  • If you're hosting a gathering, consider doubling the recipe. This dip tends to disappear quickly, and having extra ensures everyone gets a taste.
  • Be careful when adding the Everything seasoning as some brands are very salty. You don't want to over salt your dip!
