1/4cupsugarsubstitute with Xylitol for sugar-free version
Instructions
Add blueberries, water, and sugar to a saucepan. Boil over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat, strain through a fine-mesh sieve, and allow the syrup to completely cool.
Add the Bourbon and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a low ball glass, over ice.
Add Angostura bitters and garnish with extra blueberries.
Notes
There is enough simple syrup for 6-8 drinks, depending on how sweet you make your drink. The extra simple syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
