This Blueberry Basil Mezcal cocktail is a great way to blend the sweet flavor of blueberries with the smokiness of Mezcal and bit of brightness from basil and lime.

10 blueberries 5 basil leaves 2 ounces mezcal 1 ounce lime juice 1/2 ounce agave syrup bacon salt for the rim of the glass Ice
Add blueberries and basil to the shaker. Muddle.
Add mezcal, lime juice, agave, and ice. Shake well.
Wet the rim of a cocktail glass with a lime wedge and roll the rim in bacon salt.
Add ice to the glass, then pour in the cocktail. Garnish with a lime wedge and extra basil leaves. Serve.
You can substitute the mezcal with tequila if you want.
Also substitute the blueberries with blackberries, raspberries or strawberries for something a little different.
You can replace the agave syrup with a sugar substitute syrup to keep this drink low-sugar and low-carb.
